ABOUT LABRADOR EXTERIOR SERVICES
I got tired of the rat race
After five seasons in roofing and exterior sales, I realized I was ready for something different.
I wanted to work outside, do something with my hands, meet people, and actually enjoy the day instead of always chasing the next appointment or sale.
No shortcuts, no unnecessary pressure, no damage
Built to serve and grow within the local community
You’re working directly with the owner every time
WHY I STARTED LABRADOR
I wanted to slow things down a little
Roofing taught me a lot, but after five seasons I realized my favorite part wasn't chasing the next sale. It was meeting homeowners, being outside, actually getting up on the roofs and enjoying the views, working around homes, and actually seeing something get accomplished.
I wanted more of that—and a little less looking at my watch wondering where I had to be next.
I figured if I was going to start something of my own, it should be something I actually enjoyed doing.
WHY EXTERIOR CLEANING?
Turns out, people like having a nice-looking home.
Spending years around homes throughout the Northwest Suburbs taught me something pretty simple: people take pride in where they live.
They'll mow the lawn, edge everything, put down fresh mulch, work on the landscaping...and then look at the dirty windows and say, “I'll get to those next weekend.”
Three next weekends later, they're still there.
I get it. Life gets busy.
That's what made exterior cleaning feel like such a natural fit. These are projects people genuinely want done—they just don't necessarily want to spend their Saturday doing them.
WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR
We’ll take a few things off your weekend to-do list
I get to work outside, meet people and do work I genuinely enjoy. You get clean windows, siding, gutters, driveways and other exterior projects checked off the list without turning them into your Saturday project.
That's a pretty good arrangement as far as I'm concerned.
Labrador is really for people who take pride in their home and like keeping it looking good—but have better things to do with their free time than move a ladder around the house or spend an afternoon behind a pressure washer.
THE PLAN
Do good work. Be fair. Hopefully don’t live on ramen noodles.
Obviously, this isn't a charity. I have to make a living too—and I'd prefer not to live on ramen noodles.
But I'm also not interested in squeezing as much as possible out of every job. I'd rather charge a fair price, do work I'm proud of, and have somebody call me again the next time they need something cleaned.
Better yet, maybe they'll tell the neighbor.
If Labrador grows because people around here keep saying, “Call Kevin—I used him,” that's exactly the kind of business I want to build.
